Robert Hockett

Hockett is the Edward Cornell Professor of Law at Cornell Law School in New York and regular Visiting Professor of Finance at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business in DC. He is a Senior Counsel at Westwood Capital, LLC in NYC as well as a Senior Fellow at New Consensus, and previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the International Monetary Fund. He does regular pro bono work for local, state, and national legislators and regulators, as well as for needful private sector clients whose causes are just. Among those he's worked with in recent years are Rep. Ro Khanna; Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez; Senators Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Sheldon Whitehouse and Marco Rubio; and Abacus Bank in Chinatown, NYC. He did his doctoral work at Yale, his master's work at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, and his undergraduate work at the University of Kansas, after growing up first in New Orleans and then in Kansas City.
